KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup and maintain all technology servers, systems and infrastructure
• Configure and manage all server systems including email servers, web servers, cache servers and load balancers
• Develop and maintain enterprise system architecture. Define standards and protocols for data exchange, communication and integration of different systems
• Define and execute capacity planning and monitoring processes for all infrastructure and data-center technologies.
• Optimize technical performance and perform deep fine tuning
• Define and implement security directives, disaster-recovery and other critical business or IT objectives

DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

• BE/BTech, ME/MTech in Computer Science or related field

• Proficiency in writing bash, python and other scripts
• Good experience with virtualization and docker technology stack

Devops Head – Digital Product startup – Mumbai (10+ yrs)

Role & Candidate Profile

Our Client is looking for a Head, Technology Infrastructure who will be reporting to CIO and will be a very important addition to the existing team

Responsibilities

• Think FUTURE- how can infra power the exponential growth

• Work with Product Engineering team to assess scale-up requirements and boost the Technology infrastructure to power the growth.

• Set up tools and techniques to auto-monitor production HA environment with minimal manual work. Discover patterns of potential problems and advise the Product Engineering team for improvement in right areas

• Forecast storage, compute and utilization demands from infrastructure and proactively provision the required infra

• Guide partners and internal teams to set-up, configure and scale up servers on cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Set up, maintain and run an effective DevOps process to automate releases with near-zero defects

• Maintain an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers. Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies

• Support the team in managing production environment on VMWARE

• Maintain an effective Information Security framework within the organization

• Lead PCI DSS certification and other Technology-related audits

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

• B.Tech in Computer Science/EE, MCA from a good reputed institute.

Knowledge & Experience

• Around 10-12 years’ experience in managing infrastructure on Private/Public cloud

• Experience of working with Data Centers such as Amazon, Netmagic, CtrlS or others

• Expertise in optimizing Web and Application servers for high concurrency

• Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.

• Solid understanding of Devops

Lead Infrastructure (DevOps) – Delhi – (4-7 yrs)

Responsibilities: 

• Lead a team that builds automation tools to support the Dev and QA teams

• Deploy the services that drive our communications solutions

• Participate with architectural decisions that impact infrastructure

• Proactively observe engineering practices and recommend systems to solve problems or alleviate pain points

• Work closely with the product owner and the rest of the engineering team

• Manage and deploy monitoring of our systems

Requirements / Technologies:

• At least 5 years of experience in Linux systems administration in large scale environment.

• 4 years of experience in working with production systems and software engineering.

• Experience in handling teams and taking architectural decisions will be a high advantage.

• Expert in Linux Operating System (Debian, Amazon Linux, Redhat, Centos, etc)

• Extensive experience with configuration automation tools (Puppet/Ansible/fabric)

• Continuous Integration and Deployment experience (Jenkins, CloudBees)

• Understanding and Experience with commonly used Distributed Systems.

• Excellent debugging skills on System and Network Level.

• Good knowledge in cloud platforms (Openstack and AWS)

• Strong understanding of infrastructure engineering.

• Strong understanding of shell scripting languages (like Bash, Awk) and any scripting language Python/Go/Ruby

Knowledge of DevOps trends and best practices.

• Cloud Monitoring tools (Graphite, New Relic, Icinga, Statsd etc)

• Experience of working with server logging, log collection and Dashboard tools like Splunk, ELK, Graylog, Fluentd etc.

• Experience with queuing Software like RabbitMq, Kafka.Working knowledge of Networking and Application protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP

• Experience with capacity management, scalability, and load testing in a high transaction SaaS environment

• Fundamental knowledge of : Basic DNS & Networking, TCP/UDP, VPN, NAT, Firewalls, IP Routing, HA & Load Balancing Concepts, Backups
